This is how I’m feeling this morning, dancing on my sunporch – Just trying to create some good vibes . . . Good for the soul!

We don’t have a lot of designing outside the office going on these days because of Covid-19, but we still have plenty of dance in our souls which is helping us get ready for 2021. I’m creating Online Redesign Packages that will be affordable, cost-effective, simplified.

What Can You Get Done In a Weekend?

You would be surprised with a Vision & Plan!

This all started with Pinterest, a vision and a plan. We made a list of the items we would need, and even with a list and notebook . . . what do you know? yes, a few extra trips to Lowes too!

We kept on track with what we wanted to complete each day – we basically zoned the project in half. Knowing where you want to end each day makes it easier to plan where it’s best and more productive to start.

So, remember with any redesign project starts with a few tools:

  • A vision
  • A plan
  • A notebook / pad
  • Measurement & placement notes

This First Step Is To Know What Style You Passion . . .

Once you know the style you are going for, the rest is fairly easy – the shopping, measurements, placement, and so on . . . Sometimes you have more than one style that you love, that’s okay I like to incorporate the styles by color, texture or pattern something that will make the eye flow through the room – not keeping making pit stops.

What Mood Is Your Home In?

This is a Mood Board

I use them to visualize what a home can look like when working on a Redesign Project. The mood board above is for our new place my husband and I found this weekend. We have had pictures (images) collected of what we want our new home to feel like. Stay with us to see how we will use these images to create a home that fits our lifestyle.

If you need help to get started with a project, start with a mood board. It helps when you’re making several trips to Homedepot, Lowes, fabric store, furniture store, looking at window treatments. This is the best way to communicate to people what your vision is for your new space. It’s a true time & money saver.
